
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will launch on PlayStation 5 on Nov. 20, 2025, according to the listing on the PlayStation Store.
Developed and published by GSC Game World, the fourth main installment in the series, and the first franchise title in 15 years since the release of 2009’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat was initially launched on Nov. 24, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
This first-person shooter with survival horror elements follows the story of Yevhen “Skif” Martynenko on his path to becoming a Stalker, after awakening in an apartment destroyed by an anomaly that mysteriously appeared outside the Chornobyl Zone.
As of the time of writing, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam, with 37,756 reviews and an all-time peak of 121,335 players, according to SteamDB.
The game sold 1 million copies within 48 hours of its release. By March 4, 2025, the game had reached 6 million players.
