As a part of the 25-year celebration of Total War, and looking ahead to Warhammer’s 10th anniversary in 2026, on Dec. 4, SEGA is making Immortal Empires available to everyone who owns Total War: WARHAMMER I & II. The Lost God prologue campaign is also becoming available for free for the same group of consumers. In addition, owning either Warhammer I or II will result in Total War: WARHAMMER III being automatically added to their library.
Those who do not own the full Warhammer III experience can still purchase any associated DLC to play in Immortal Empires. Immortal Empires is not a standalone game, requiring any of the Warhammer games to access. Both Wrahmmer I and II now have access to Immortal Empires and The Lost God campaign.
To access more content, the Warhammer III Upgrade Pack can be purchased, which includes the following:
- 10 Legendary Lords, and all of their associated units and features.
- The Realm of Chaos narrative campaign
- Multiplayer campaigns: The Realm of Chaos, Something Rotten in Kislev and Darkness & Disharmony
- Mirrors of Madness game mode
Immortal Empires massively expands on the map, containing all regions from the entire trilogy. The expansion is the biggest Total War sandbox ever made, representing the culmination of a decade of the Total War: Warhammer franchise, according to the official community post.
