Dispatch has officially sold over 1 million copies in just 10 days of release. The narrative-based game, published and developed by AdHoc Studio, was initially released on Oct. 22 via PC and PlayStation 5. The title costs $29.99; the full story is not available quite yet, with episodes 5 and 6 slated to release on Nov. 5, 2025. Dispatch’s final week of releases concludes on Nov. 12, debuting episodes 7 and 8.
In regard to gameplay, Dispatch plays very similarly to a Telltale game, where the player makes choices that provide various routes for dialogue interactions between characters. The player controls Robert Robertson III, who was formerly the superhero Mecha Man. After being forced into retirement, Robert takes a mundane job at the Superhero Dispatch Network, where he sends out heroes to emergencies across the city. The protagonist’s main goal is to amass enough money to rebuild his mecha suit and get revenge on his nemesis.
Dispatch is sold as a complete season, meaning players do not have to purchase each episode upon its release. As of writing, Dispatch has a “Very Positive” Steam review score, with over 18,000 users having provided input. Fans of the game have already begun requesting a season 2 for the episodic game.
