On Oct. 7, 2025, Tom Cannon, the executive producer of 2XKO, published a long X post regarding the game’s future, and in it, he mentioned that the developers are still keen on getting the game to consoles as early as possible.
“We haven’t taken our foot off the gas in getting the game to console,” said Cannon. “Right now the team is focusing on the work that it takes to go from the console betas we shipped in Alpha Labs to a fully featured game.”
With the game’s early access release for PC just right around the corner, console players are wary of the content that PC players will have their hands on, especially skins, battle pass and more. Cannon also commented on this, saying that “console players will have a way to catch up on content. Specifics TBD.”
The game’s console version has been a hot topic within the community, as the game was only available on PC, while the Alpha Labs was able to accommodate those playing on consoles, which was confusing to those who played on consoles.
2XKO is releasing in early access tomorrow, and the developers have put out patch notes that accompany the game’s release to the public. Once 2XKO is up, there will no longer be further resets, and the game will be available to everyone without the need for beta codes or invites.
