Ghostrunner 2, Monument Valley II and The Battle of Polytopia became free on the Epic Games Store on Sept. 11, 2025 and will remain that way until Sept. 18, 2025.
While all the titles are playable on Windows PCs, The Battle of Polytopia is also available on macOS.
Developed by One More Level and published by 505 Games, 2023’s Ghostrunner 2 is an action platformer and a sequel to 2020’s Ghostrunner.
The story unfolds as the protagonist must venture beyond the Dharma Tower to defeat a group of violent cyber ninja AI cultists. The game is played from a first-person perspective, where players control an agile character, Jack, who is able to traverse dangerous environments by dashing, jumping, wall-running and sliding.
Developed and published by Ustwo Games, 2017’s indie puzzle game Monument Valley II is the sequel to 2014’s Monument Valley and a prequel to 2024’s Monument Valley III.
Presented in an isometric view, Monument Valley II tasks players with guiding Ro and her child through mazes that include elements of optical illusions, allowing players to move either Ro or her child or to trigger changes in the architecture of the level to complete the puzzle.
Developed and published by Midjiwan AB, 2016’s The Battle of Polytopia is a 4X turn-based strategy game where players take control of a tribe as they build an empire and attempt to defeat other tribes across a procedurally generated world.
The game features two modes: one requires the player to obtain the highest score within a 30-turn time limit, and the other requires the player to defeat all other tribes in combat to win.
