The drug dealing and production simulator, Schedule I, announced that Psilocybin mushrooms, commonly known as shrooms, have won its second community vote. As such, the drug is going to be added to the game “somewhere from mid-October to late November.”
The community vote was held on Sept. 1, 2025, where the developer of the Schedule I, TVGS, presented players with three options: Hireable Drivers, Fishing and Shrooms. Each of these options will add a new feature to the game that is related to it.
For example, Hireable Drivers will be able to transport items between the player’s properties, businesses and other dealers. If this option won, the game will also receive quality-of-life improvements to the delivery system currently present in the game.
Since Shrooms won the contest, it’s going to be the fourth drug type that will be added to the game and will have a “new and unique production process.” The developer also mentioned that the addition of the drug will include: a new supplier, new shrooms-specific production equipment and tools, some new multi-use production equipment that can be used for the production of shrooms and other existing drugs, new effects and ingredients and also new customers.
Schedule I is an indie game that seemingly came out of nowhere. In March, the game overtook Assassin’s Creed Shadows in concurrent player count on Steam. As of the writing of this article, the game’s all-time concurrent player peak on Steam has reached 459,075.
