Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s Nov. 25 update will see the franchise officially collaborate with the gigantic anime franchise Attack on Titan. Players are going to be tasked with the quest of preventing a power-hungry faction from unleashing the terror of a Titan on Japan during this time.
The game’s collaboration with Attack on Titan marks the first time Assassin’s Creed is teaming up with an anime and manga franchise. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla previously collaborated with the Vinland Saga manga in 2020, featuring a crossover where Thorfinn and Eivor Varinsdottir met on the page, Valhalla itself didn’t receive any in-game content from that partnership.
The collaboration this time is different, with Ubisoft putting up an Attack on Titan Dual Pack available for purchase from the in-game store once the update goes live, making it the first anime and manga franchise to truly incorporate itself with the game.
Those interested in the quest will be able to start it once they head over to the Yamashiro region, North of Hanzo Tower. Players will need to have Yasuke unlocked as a playable character before they can interact with the quest giver. The upcoming patch also features a hefty amount of bug fixes in the game and improvements to the corrupted castles.
The Attack on Titan collaboration is a limited-time event, which will run until Dec. 22, 2025. It’s unclear whether the Attack on Titan Dual Pack is also disappearing after the event has run its course.
