A joint effort of Arc Raiders players allowed them to unlock the Stella Montis map through a community event, which required players to donate their own resources for a common goal, in less than two days, even though the event was buffed a couple of hours after launch because players were completing it too fast.
The news comes on the heels of reports about the PvPvE extraction shooter from Embark Studios being surprisingly friendly to solo players for a game of its genre.
Set in the distant future on Earth, where mysterious and deadly “ARC” robots have taken over the surface, forcing humanity to live underground, the game allows players to assume the role of one of the “raiders,” those who choose to go above ground, also known as “the topside,” to collect resources during short runs on the topside, which then will be sorted with the assistance of their roosters for the welfare of underground city Speranza.
Arc Raiders was released on Oct. 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game hit the mark of 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms and sold more than 4 million copies worldwide in less than a month since launch.
As of the time of writing, Arc Raiders has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 80,831 reviews.
