Oxythane Breach update landed in the online co-op FPS Mycopunk on Nov. 3, 2025.
This major update brought a new special assignment, new map, new gun, new mission, new skins, new enemies, and a new turbocharging feature to the game, which has remained in Early Access since its launch on Jul. 10, 2025, only for Windows PC via Steam.
Developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital, the title received a new SMG called The Accelerator, which fires bursts of increasing size (electrified bullets) and allows players to fire shots while sprinting.
Mycopunk also got two new missions, Oxythane Breach and Paid Time Off, along with a new gravity farm map, Shipping Lane.
On top of that, three new enemies, The Devastator, Missilehead, and Rocket Grunt, were added to the game.
With a new turbocharge feature, players can now use Strange Components to turbocharge exotic upgrades, giving them a new ability, which can range from a stat boost to completely new behaviors. With the Oxythane Breach update, turbocharges will be available for several weapons, including Lead Flinger, Trident, Plate Launcher, Wrangler, Bruiser, Scrapper, and Glider, with turbocharges for the rest of the weapons and grenades to be introduced in future updates.
As of the time of writing, the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 2,661 reviews.
