In a recent Anti-Toxicity report, Rainbow Six Siege X developers have revealed that they have permanently banned over 12,000 players from the game in July alone. The report also went into detail regarding the game’s state when it comes to cheating.
One of the things the developers highlighted in the report is the emergence of new discovered exploits due to the increased number of players. The developers consider this a form of cheating due to the unfair advantage it gives to those who use the exploit. In addition to that, they showed gratitude to the community as they were able to fix some of these exploits quickly due to their reports.
Ubisoft also pointed out that since the launch of Siege X, there has been a surge in cheater reports, and that 2.5% of matches have had four or more cheater reports compared to the previous average, which was 1.8%.
Regarding toxicity, the developers have mentioned that there has been a decrease in disruptive communication. They have pointed out that this is partly due to the introduction of the new chat wheel. In the future, they plan on introducing a voice chat moderation which can automatically mute a person if they are flagged by the system.
Rainbow Six Siege X, is the evolution of Rainbow Six Siege, which was initially released in 2015. The game is available on PlayStation 4 & 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
