The final mission for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is rumored to occur on a map called Avalon, which will supposedly feature a 32-person multiplayer experience. The mission, according to Insider Gaming in a report written by Tom Henderson, will likely play as an extraction shooter where players are placed in a squad, with only one attempt to complete the objectives and extract.
Upon squad wipeout, all character progress will supposedly be lost. The integration of the campaign and multiplayer will reportedly be the game’s attempt to full progression across all three available game modes: Zombies, Campaign, and Multiplayer. Players will supposedly be able to level up their weapons, characters, and Battle Pass during this campaign mission.
More information regarding the campaign is expected on Aug. 19, occurring during Gamescon Opening Night Live, as reported by Insider Gaming. As of writing, the final mission for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign has not been officially confirmed by Activision.
The upcoming title is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software – the two development companies shared development for Black Ops Cold War as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is a continuation of the story within the overarching storyline of Black Ops; it is a direct continuation of Black Ops 2 and 6, both of which were developed by Treyarch.
