
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass will receive nine more games in the first wave of July 2025 additions, along with five titles that are joining Retro Classics.
Little Nightmares II, a puzzle-platform horror adventure developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, became available for members of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscription plans on Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on July 1, 2025. The story of the game follows Mono, who must work together with Six, the protagonist from Little Nightmares, to survive the horrors of the Pale City.
The other title that became available on Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers on July 1, 2025, is the eleventh main entry in the Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider. An action-adventure developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Microsoft Studios and Square Enix, it follows the story of Lara Croft as she ventures into Siberia in search of the legendary city of Kitezh, while battling the paramilitary organization Trinity, which intends to uncover the city’s promise of immortality.
Available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Legend of Mana will join Game Pass Standard on July 2, 2025. A spin-off of the Mana series developed and published by Square, is set in the fictional world of Fa’Diel and allows players to control a hero tasked with restoring the world and bringing the Mana Tree back to its former self.
Trials of Mana, a 3D remake of the 1995 title of the same name, the third game in the Mana series will also join Game Pass Standard on July 2, 2025, available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The story of the game follows six possible protagonists in their respective quests, which lead them to obtain the Mana Sword and fight a world-ending threat.
Ultimate Chicken Horse will become available on Cloud, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 3, 2025, for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. Developed and published by Clever Endeavour Games, this party platformer allows multiple players to build the level as it is played, online or locally, placing deadly traps before trying to reach the end of the level.
On July 8, 2025, the cyberpunk-themed title The Ascent, developed by Swedish indie game studio Neon Giant and published by Curve Digital, will become available on Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscription plan users. In this title, set in a futuristic dystopian world known as Veles, controlled by a powerful megacorporation called The Ascent Group, players assume control of a worker enslaved by the company who is trying to uncover the mystery behind the demise of The Ascent Group and also stop other factions from seizing control in Veles.
Casual street management simulator Minami Lane, developed by Doot, Blibloop, and Zakku and published by Doot Tiny Games and Wholesome Games, is coming to Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on July 9, 2025, for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
A remake of 2001’s Pro Skater 3 and 2002’s Pro Skater 4, which were originally developed by Neversoft, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, developed by Iron Galaxy and published by Activision, is coming on July 11, 2025, to Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass users. This skateboarding title, played in a third-person view, features 31 pro skaters and 5 special guest skaters, including Doom Slayer and Michelangelo (the ninja turtle, not the Italian sculptor, painter, architect, and poet of the High Renaissance).
Comedic first-person shooter High on Life, developed and published by Squanch Games, is coming to Cloud, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on July 15, 2025, and will be available for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. In this title, players assume the role of a recent high school graduate thrust into the role of an intergalactic bounty hunter with a team of chatty guns.
Celebrating 1 million players, Retro Classics adds Cosmic Commuter, Heart of China, Skiing, Solar Storm, and Subterranea on July 1, 2025. Created in collaboration between Xbox and Antstream Arcade, the Retro Classics initiative reflects Microsoft’s commitment to game preservation and backward compatibility, and allows Game Pass users to play a collection of over 50 classic Activision titles from the ’80s and ’90s.
As for DLCs and updates:
- Diablo IV receives Season 9, titled Sins of the Horadrim, on July 1, 2025;
- Palworld’s collaboration with Terraria titled Palworld: Tides of Terraria is avalialble since June 25, 2025;
- Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members who play Mecha Break will get the Mashmak Rocket Bundle, which includes the Mashmak Rocket Bundle, Exclusive Pilot Outfit, Exclusive Striker Paint, and Exclusive Insignia on July 2, 2025;
- Splitgate 2 players with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass memberships will get the Meridian Obex Ace Skin on July 3, 2025;
- Asphalt Legends Unite players with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass memberships will be able to receive the Monthly Gift Bundle, which includes 10 Card Packs, 250 tokens, and 250,000 credits, starting July 1, 2025.
- Starting July 1, 2025, Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to receive 50 points to spend in-game and 3 random Platinum Card Packs in 3on3 Freestyle.
- Heavyweight Icons Bundle is available in EA Sports UFC 5 for Game Pass Ultimate members starting July 1, 2025.
Flock, Mafia Definitive Edition, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Callisto Protocol and The Case of the Golden Idol will leave the Xbox Game Pass library on July 15, 2025.
